5 Hall of Famers WWE Regret

We are only a few weeks away from Wrestlemania, which means speculation is rife (as usual) as to who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, and so far we already know D-Generation X & The Honkytonk Man are the first 2 inductees to the Class of 2019.

With this in mind let's take a look at 5 WWE Hall of Famers that WWE would not have inducted, if they knew back then, what they know today!

#5 Donald Trump

Let's begin with an easy one..... The 45th President of the United States of America, and arguably the most hated man on the planet..... Donald Trump!  Need we say any more?

#4 Tammy "Sunny" Sytch

Sunny was a huge star in the WWE back in the mid 1990's, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.  The blonde bombshell took the business by storm elevating any individual or team she accompanied to the ring in the process.  Arguably WWE's first sex symbol, Sytch paved the way for future WWE pin-ups such as Sable, Trish Stratus & Torrie Wilson.

Since then Sunny has been in and out of rehab for alcohol abuse, been arrested dozens of times (as recently as this week), become an adult film star & even tried to sell her Hall of Fame ring.  Yet amazingly she still appears in the HOF section of WWE.com

#3 Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is arguably the biggest star in the history of professional wrestling.  It is safe to say WWE would not be where it is today without the huge success of Hulkamania in the mid-late 80's & early 90's.  Hogan headlined the first 9 Wrestlemania's, thus on these merits alone, his 2005 Hall of fame induction was long overdue.

Fast forward 10 years to 2015 where Hogan was the centre of a huge scandal, when a leaked sex-tape (which was probably bad enough in WWE's eyes) also exposed The Hulkster for using racial & homophobic slurs.  Subsequently WWE removed all references of Hogan from all of their products for almost 3 years.  However time seems to have healed all wounds, as Hulk was reinstated as a WWE legend, and back into the Hall of Fame last summer.

#2 The Fabulous Moolah

Long before WWE's women's revolution, The Fabulous Moolah was the measuring stick for women's professional wrestling, holding the WWE Women's Championship 4 times, with WWE recognising her first title reign to last for an unbelievable 28 years.  Thus to celebrate Moolah & her great accomplishments, WWE inducted her into their Hall of Fame in 1995.

In the run up to Wrestlemania 34 WWE billed the "Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal" until they received an unprecedented amount of backlash off the back of many reports from former female wrestlers, that Moolah exploited female wrestlers she trained by promising promoters that her trainees would have sex with them in return for being booked in matches.  Although there are many former pro's who have also jumped to Moolah's defence, WWE removed her name from the title of the match at Wrestlemania as well as her profile from the Hall of Fame section of WWE.com

#1 Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka

With an illustrious career spanning from 1968-2015 "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka really was one of the most beloved professional wrestling superstars of his generation.  He hit the height of this fame in the WWE in the early 1980's and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996, and at the time, deservedly so!

What we now know though, is that in late 2015, just over a year before his death, Snuka was charger with Third Degree Murder & Involuntary Manslaughter, for the death of his then girlfriend Nancy Argentino in 1983.  However, Snuka never was convicted of these crimes, as just 12 days before his death the Judge dismissed all charges, as Superfly was deemed not mentally fit to stand trial.  However I wouldn't hold my breath on WWE running packages on the Superfly any time soon!!!
